Terms (End User License Agreement)

This agreement is between you and Amit Derri ("the author") and covers the HighlightForge software, its installer and documentation ("the software"). By installing or using the software you accept it.

1. Free plan. With a free account you may use the software free of charge for as long as you like. The free plan makes a limited number of new highlight videos each month (shown in the app), and they carry a "Made with HighlightForge" mark and a line in the generated description. You agree not to remove or cover the mark in videos made on the free plan.

2. Premium. A Premium subscription bought from the author's store removes the mark and the monthly limit and lets you render videos with your own styles, for one person, on the computers that person uses, while the subscription is paid. You can cancel at any time; Premium then lasts until the end of the period you paid for. Your styles stay on your PC when Premium ends.

Styles and fonts. Styles you make and share are yours. If you add your own font files, you are responsible for having the right to use them in your videos.

Accounts. Signing in stores your e-mail address and how many videos you made each month on the author's server (see the privacy notice). Your streams and videos never leave your PC.

3. Your videos are yours. Everything you create with the software, free or Premium, belongs to you, including for commercial use (monetized YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, etc.). You are responsible for having the rights to the streams and recordings you process, and for following the terms of the platforms you download from or upload to.

4. What you may not do. You may not sell, rent or share accounts, or copies of the software, except through the author's own store pages. You may not create accounts to get around the free plan's limit. You may not remove or work around the account check or the free plan's mark, and you may not decompile, modify or redistribute the software, except where the law explicitly allows it.

5. Third-party components. The software includes, and downloads during installation, components owned by others: Python, PyTorch, FFmpeg, Tesseract OCR, Deno, AI models and others. Each is provided under its own license, listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licenses. Google Gemini is used with your own API key under Google's terms.

6. Not affiliated with Riot Games. HighlightForge isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

7. Refunds. If Premium doesn't work for you, ask for a refund of your first payment within 14 days, by e-mail or through the Lemon Squeezy receipt. Premium ends when the payment is refunded. This doesn't limit any right to withdraw or get a refund that your local consumer law gives you.

8. No warranty. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any damage or loss from using it.

9. Termination. This license ends automatically if you break it. The author may then close the account. You can stop using the software and delete your account at any time.

10. Changes. The author may update these terms. Changes that matter are announced in the app or by e-mail at least 30 days before they apply to a paid subscription.
